Here at Nether Winchendon House you can hold an 'Exchange of Rings and Vows Ceremony’ in the beautiful grounds surrounding the house; under the trees, facing the river, on The South or East Lawn, in The Walled Garden, in The Carriage Barn, in The Bridal Garden, on our newly restored Georgian stone bridge and in plenty of other spots - whatever suits you best. There are so many beautiful places for your ceremony!
Once you have chosen your perfect ceremony location here, the next step is to do the ‘legal’ part at an official registry office, prior to your Wedding Day. At the Aylesbury Registry Office the cost to get legally married is as little as £46 plus the certificate cost.

On your Wedding Day you would arrive here at Nether Winchendon House and hold your Wedding Ceremony in front of your guests, you can choose the style and order of your ceremony, sign your own register, if you wish to, which could have your special vows written in to it to take home and treasure forever. Guests wouldn’t even consider that it wasn’t an Official Civil Ceremony.
Your Ceremony can then follow into an Arrival Drinks Reception on The Terrace, one of the lawns or up at The Carriage Barn.
This Ceremony option has become very popular with our Wedding couples.
Some couples get married on a beach and have their honeymoon before they have their Wedding Reception and have a Blessing or an Exchange of Rings and Vows Ceremony in front of their family and friends here. Everything is now so fluid and we are able to help with every couples personal dream of how they want their unique Wedding to be.
